This Privacy Policy explains how the Ogun EML mobile application and its administrative
dashboard (together, the “Service”) handle information. By using the Service you agree to
this policy.
1. Summary
Ogun EML is a reference tool for the Essential Medicines List. The mobile app requires
no account and does not collect personal information. It
works fully offline and connects to our servers only to download updates to the medicines
catalogue.
2. Information we do not collect
- We do not require you to create an account or sign in to use the mobile app.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location.
- We do not use advertising, and we do not embed third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
3. Information stored on your device
-
Your saved (bookmarked) medicines and recently-viewed history are stored
only on your device. They are not transmitted to us and are removed if
you uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Your theme (light/dark) and onboarding preferences are stored locally on your device.
- The medicines catalogue is stored locally so the app works without a network connection.
4. Network use
-
When your device is online, the app contacts our catalogue server to check for and
download a newer edition of the Essential Medicines List.
- These requests transmit only a catalogue version identifier; they do not include personal data.
-
Standard technical information (such as your IP address) may be processed transiently by
our hosting provider to deliver content, and is not used to identify you.
5. Administrative dashboard
The Ogun EML administrative dashboard is restricted to authorised Ministry personnel and
requires a username and password. Credentials are used solely to control access to
content-management functions and are not shared.
6. Permissions
The app uses network/internet access to download catalogue updates. It does not request
access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or files.
7. Children’s privacy
Ogun EML is a professional reference resource. It does not knowingly collect personal
information from any person, including children.
8. Data security
Because the mobile app stores its data only on your device and collects no personal
information, no personal data from app users is held on our servers. Administrative access
is protected by authentication.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the
“Effective date” above and, where appropriate, communicated within the app.
